UGH, MY COMPUTER ISN'T WORKING!

This sucks! I have to get my work/studies/game on done and my computer just won't power on/turn on/boot up. I've tried everything like pressing the start button, checking the cable and even holding down the power button, but nothing is working! Maybe there's something wrong with the hard drive? I'm totally lost. Does anyone have any suggestions?
